Shallow water ocean basin

Size: 50m*35m*1.6m (length*width*depth). Equipped with a L-shaped wave generator, the basin can be used for experiments and research on wave generation, wave flow interaction, deep-water harbor siltation, beach morphology and its evolution, wave load of marine buildings, local scour around marine buildings; wave height, velocity, coercive force, thrust, distortion distance, rotational speed, water temperature, POD.

Hydraulics trough
Size: 40m long, 0.8m deep, 0.5m wide with ±2% tunable slope. It can be used for experiments and research on turbulence flow flied affected by the wave current, sediment incipient motion, bedload transport rate, sand wave motion, scouring and armoring, sediment concentration distribution, sediment-carrying capacity of flow.

Other facilities include a 70 Mpa hyperbaric test tank, submarine observation network prototype system test platform, high temperature and high pressure simulation test platform, marine extreme environment simulation test platform, mechanical semi-physical simulation test platform for renewable energy, .
A 12000 m2 ocean test hall is under construction in Zhairuoshan Island, Zhou Shan City, which consists of a broad range of labs and testing facilities, e.g., ocean biological laboratory, ocean chemical laboratory, deep pool, high performance flume, hyperbaric test tank, etc
