The annular flumeis design to study the movement of suspended fine sediment in coastal, offshore and estuarine environments, including suspended sediment transport and deposition in ports, waterways and anchorages. It simulates the real sediment motion for long time and long distance. The tank of the flume can rotate, and the transverse flow is eliminated by the relative movement of the annular flume and the shear ring.
The diameter of the flume is 3.6m with an inner diameter of 3m, the groove width is 0.3m, the height is 0.6m, and the maximum experimental depth is 0.5m. The maximum outer diameter of the flume is 1.3m/s, and the maximum rotation speed of the shear ring is 2.0m/s. The stepless speed change can be achieved.
