Professor Yang Wei, Chairman of the University Development Council and the former President of Zhejiang University,  shares his visions on fundamental research and marine development at the 48th Ocean Lectures Series on October 24.

Yang, a member of Chinese Academy of Sciences, talks with faculty members and students of the Ocean College about the pivotal relations between fundamental research and technological innovation. He also talked about some key directions for the fundamental research in the marine development and urged scientists and students to pay greater attention to the fundamental research.
