On July 17, Prof. Zheng Daoqiong, the Director of the Department of Marine Science, led a delegation 10 students to join ‘One Belt One Road’ Ocean Summer School at Chulalongkorn University's (CU) of Thailand.

A bilateral workshop themed on Ocean Sustainability was kicked off at Marine Science Institute of CU. More than 20 professors and postgraduates from both universities made oral speaks in relevant fields to exchange views. In the following 6 days, Porf. Zheng, along with 10 postgraduates, participated in various activity including laboratory and aquarium visits and filed trips. They explore CU's Marine Science Institute, the Aquatic resources research institute field research station on Sichang Island, and the Coral Hatchery on Samae San Island. 

Students had a great understanding of Thailand's advancements in marine technology, the sustainable development of marine resources, and marine ecological conservation. Moreover, this visit fortified a good relationships and forge new academic collaborations, signaling a promising stride toward strengthening cross-border academic bonds between two universities.
