2023 Scopus CiteScore: Maritime Policy & Management Continues to Be the Top Journal in Q1
According to the 2023 Scopus CiteScore index released by Elsevier, the SSCI journal Maritime Policy & Management (MPM), under the leadership of Editor-in-Chief Professor Kevin X. Li and Deputy Editor Professor Feng Xuehao, has achieved a notable ranking in Q1 with a CiteScore of 8.2. The journal has made a remarkable leap, rising from Q3 to Q2 in the JCR rankings, with its impact factor increasing from 2.5 to 3.7 in 2023. These advancements reflect the journal’s growing academic recognition and its significant influence in the field of maritime policy and management.
CiteScore 2023, a key metric used by Elsevier to quantitatively assess the influence of various academic resources included in the Scopus database, serves as an authoritative benchmark for the academic community. In this year's rankings, MPM is positioned as follows across various disciplines:
-Ocean Engineering: 12/105;
-Transportation: 30/141;
-Management, Monitoring, Policy and Law: 62/399;
-Geography, Planning and Development: 66/821.
MPM has long been committed to multidisciplinary research in maritime policy, port and shipping logistics, and has placed a strong emphasis on bridging the gap between academic theory and management practice. Since the editorial department's relocation to Zhejiang University's Zhoushan Campus in 2019, with the full support of the Ocean College, the journal has continually enhanced its academic services.
