On November 13, 2025, a delegation from the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), led by Prof. Nicolas Tsapatsoulis, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, visited the Ocean College of Zhejiang University (ZJU). The delegation was accompanied by Prof. Xu Hong, Dean of the Confucius Institute at Hangzhou Dianzi University.

Fu Huijun, Deputy Secretary of the Ocean College Party Committee, attended the exchange meeting and welcomed the guests. Professors Chen Ying and Zheng Daoqiong also participated in the discussions.

The primary purpose of the delegation's visit was to learn from Ocean College's experience in establishing a marine-focused college and to promote cooperation between the two institutions in the fields of marine science and marine engineering. During their visit, the delegation, accompanied by Prof. Zheng Daoqiong, toured Ocean College's large-scale testing facilities and marine science laboratories.

At the meeting, Fu Huijun extended a warm welcome to the delegation and provided an overview of Ocean College's development history and disciplinary characteristics. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on various topics, including the development of marine disciplines, talent cultivation, and scientific research collaboration. The CUT delegation expressed their high appreciation for Ocean College's educational achievements and experimental resources, expressing a desire to develop more substantive cooperation in the field of marine technology in the future.

This visit has strengthened the ties between Zhejiang University and the Cyprus University of Technology, laying a solid foundation for future  cooperation.
