On November 22, the 2025 Zhejiang Acoustic Technology Conference, jointly organized by The State Key Laboratory of Ocean Sensing and the Zhejiang Acoustical Society, was held in the laboratory's newly inaugurated lecture hall. More than 130 experts, scholars, and industry representatives from across Zhejiang Province and beyond gathered to exchange academic insights and research achievements in acoustics-related fields. Fengzhong QU, Executive Vice Dean and Deputy Party Secretary of ZJU Ocean College and Deputy Director of The State Key Laboratory of Ocean Sensing, attended the event.

Fengzhong QU welcomed the participants and introduced the development of the laboratory. He noted that the conference represents a deep dialogue between acoustic technology and marine application scenarios, and expressed hope to strengthen cooperation in frontier research, technological breakthroughs, and technology transfer to enhance China's marine precision sensing capabilities.

Sanming ZHANG, Executive Vice President of the Zhejiang Acoustical Society, reviewed the development of the Zhejiang Acoustic Technology Conference as a branded academic event and expressed his expectation that the meeting would stimulate innovation and talent development through in-depth exchanges and intellectual interaction.

The conference featured seven invited presentations focusing on underwater acoustic communication, marine acoustic detection, acoustic metrology, noise control, and environmental acoustics. Prof. Fengzhong QU from Zhejiang University presented his team's independently developed achievements in long-distance high-speed underwater acoustic communication. Senior Engineer Xianghua Lai from the Second Institute of Oceanography, Ministry of Natural Resources, shared applications of marine acoustic equipment in ocean surveys. Senior Engineer Guanghui Jia from the 715 Research Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation introduced acoustic metrology testing technology and China's progress in international underwater acoustics standardization. Prof. Yong Li (Tongji University), Prof. Qingpu Lu (Guangdong Environmental Protection Committee), Associate Prof. Sanming Zhang (Zhejiang Acoustical Society), and Associate Researcher Delin Wu (Zhejiang Institute of Quality Science) delivered presentations on major equipment noise reduction, noise pollution prevention, building sound insulation, and ultrasonic metrology.

During the conference, more than ten high-tech companies, including Hangzhou Aihua and Ningbo Yongke, showcased the latest R&D achievements and system solutions in acoustics.

As the first large-scale academic event held after the opening of the laboratory's new lecture hall, the conference marks a key step forward in building advanced facilities and academic exchange platforms. The laboratory will continue to gather innovative resources and promote collaborative breakthroughs to support China's marine scientific and technological self-reliance and the development of the marine economy.
