四、报告题目：Recent technological developments in applied geophysics at Kyoto University using wave theories

报告摘要：

We conducted a couple of numerical simulations to investigate methodologies based on wave theories to image subsurface structure in high resolution: one is the utilization of a phased array for the source of ground penetrating radar, dispersion analyses of borehole acoustic waves, and full waveform inversion methods in marine acoustics. These researches are all based on wave theories with which the resolution of structural images could be enhanced.

主讲人简介：

Hitoshi Mikada，京都大学教授，1991年获日本东京大学地球物理学专业理学博士学位，1983-1991年在巴黎斯伦贝谢研发中心地震信号处理项目高级工程师，1991-1997年在东京大学地球科学学院担任助理教授，1997-2004年在日本海洋科学中心（JAMSTEC）任高级科学家并承担国家级项目研究。2004年至今任京都大学教授，地球科学与资源工程学院应用地球物理实验室主任，并担任地球科学与资源工程学院科长，日本学术振兴会（JSPS）执行委员会成员。主要研究方向是地震及电磁波散射，衰减介质和各向异性介质中的地震波传播等方面，是大地地球物理和勘探地球物理专家，承担9项日本国家级科研项目，发表SCI文章300余篇，著有相关书籍10余本，并任学术期刊Progress in Earth, Planets and Space主编。
